The University of Essex is one of the UK’s leading research universities. It offers a wide range of degree programmes at undergraduate, postgraduate and research levels. The University is comprised of four Faculties: Faculty of Arts and Humanities, The Faculty of Law and Management, The Faculty of Social Sciences and the Faculty of Science and Engineering. Around 9,000 students study at the University’s campus in Colchester, and we offer courses in entrepreneurship, performing arts and health at our campus in Southend and acting and theatre at the East 15 Acting School in Loughton. The university’s campuses are safe and friendly and students are guaranteed accommodation on or around campus in their first year of study. Colchester is 45 minutes by train from London and 1 hour by bus from Stansted Airport. The University has a diverse student body, with over 130 nationalities represented, and has extensive social and support facilities.
