Sheffield Hallam University European Bursary

Sheffield Hallam University is offering bursaries of £1000 to EU students who begin a full-time course at the University in September 2011 and January 2012. All full-time undergraduate and postgraduate taught courses are taking part in the programme.

Successful applicants will be awarded with a cheque and a certificate to mark their achievement at a Scholarships ceremony following enrolment on their course. This bursary is not a reduction in fees.

Eligibility criteria

You are eligible to be considered for the European Bursary if

  • you are a national of an EU country other than the UK and classed as an EU student for fees purposes
  • you can meet the course entry requirements as specified in your offer
  • you have accepted your offer of a place on your chosen course starting in September 2010 or January 2011
  • be able to evidence achievement in your personal statement

The Scholarships Panel will consider the quality of the personal statement alongside academic achievement when allocating bursaries. The Panel will be held after the closing date and applicants will be notified approximately one month after the closing date using the contact details provided on their application form. The decision of the Panel is final.

How to apply for the European Bursary

Applications for the European Bursary should be made with, or following, an application for a taught course at Sheffield Hallam University, using one of the forms available below. Bursary applications for courses starting in January 2011 must be submitted by 30 November 2010. For courses starting in September 2011 applications must be submitted by 30 June 2011. For courses starting in January 2012 applications must be submitted by

30 November 2011.
